How Does The Future Wave Work?
The Future Wave Energy Saver employs a soft start mechanism for the pump motor, minimising the initial electricity spike during startup. This gradual startup process takes approximately 20 seconds. The pump operates near its standard rate for an additional 20 seconds as it primes itself. Once the pump is fully primed, the energy required for effective operation decreases significantly. At this stage, the Future Wave initiates a motor winding-down process to the preselected energy-saving level, resulting in an increase of efficiency and power savings.
The majority of household pool pumps are equipped with single-phase motors which are notably inefficient due to their high energy consumption during startup. These pumps lack the capability to adjust motor speed, operating consistently at the highest speed, resulting in excessive energy usage.

Will Future Wave Work On My Pump?

The Future Wave is weatherproof up to an I.P.35 Rating; however it must be installed in an upright position. To prevent water ingress through the cooling vents on the side of the unit due to rain or splashback it should be mounted at an adequate height to stop this risk. The unit includes mounting brackets on the back for easy installation on a wall or fence, ensuring it is always positioned upright.
